Bluffton to Host Meaningful 9/11 Remembrance and Volunteer Fair
A Day of Remembrance and Service
The Town of Bluffton will host a special event in recognition of the 21st anniversary of the September 11th attacks. The 9/11 Remembrance and Volunteer Fair will take place on Saturday, September 10, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Oscar Frazier Park.
The event will feature a variety of activities to honor the victims of 9/11 and to promote volunteerism within the community. There will be a remembrance ceremony, a volunteer fair, a blood drive, and a food drive.
Honoring the Victims and Supporting the Community
The remembrance ceremony will begin at 10:00 AM and will include a reading of the names of the victims of 9/11, a moment of silence, and a prayer. The ceremony will be followed by a volunteer fair, which will provide information on volunteer opportunities with local organizations.
The blood drive will be held from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The food drive will be held from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Non-perishable food items will be collected for Bluffton Self Help.
